# Singapore - Canonical page: https://fze-fze.me/journal/singapore/ Strolling through the Garden City It's the farthest I've ever been from China, although still in East Asia. Singapore is a country that lives in chinese before- bed-story. That's mainly because it's the other country which mainly consists of chinese people. Beautiful and rich might be another reason by the way. Based on those, Singapore has become a haven for studying abroad. To be honest, such thoughts have also occupied my mind for a long time. Luckily, there was a chance in our school to attend a summer workshop from NUS SoC, which has the best computing lessons in the world. Submitting the application without hesitation, I got the invitation in the next week. Finally, I chose UI/UX Design as my course and ready to go. (However, there was still 3 months before departure then.) Before departure, I did a lot of research, such as how to hail a taxi locally, where to pay a visit, and skills to understand the Singlish. I even downloaded Duolingo to practice my oral English. Being away from homeland for nearly a month for the first time, I felt excited more than nervous. Given that our tasks were not that busy, I also planned to explore this city in my available time. For example, Universe Studio, Asia Civilization Museum and Marina Bay Sands are both great site to go.
