My Weekly Plan and Workflow

After nearly three months, I finally mapped out my workflow.

Workflow Overview

Software

Personal management: Notes, Reminders, Calendar, fze’s blog

Learning platforms: ChatGPT, Goodnotes, Baicizhan, Typora, VS Code

Information channels: podcasts, X, WeChat Official Accounts, Bilibili, YouTube

Campus platforms: WeCom, QQ, WeChat, and course platforms

Timeline

Deep: focused study mode, one 40-minute round at a time, with a complete record of what was finished

Maintain: everyday tasks and miscellaneous work, handled in batches during the commute

Habit: tasks that need to happen every day, usually fixed items

Explore: subjects I do not currently have time to understand, saved for later exploration

Work Blocks

Before-bed block: daily review and meditation, with Sleep Focus enabled

Commute block: getting to class, eating lunch, listening to podcasts and music, and taking in information

Class block: school courses, meetings, and competitions; course-platform tasks can happen here, with Study Focus enabled

Study block: 40 minutes of uninterrupted learning, with Study Focus enabled

Input / Output System

Input streams:

  • Commute block gets ideas from information channels and sends them to Quick Notes.
  • Study block, when I do not have a computer, turns essays and fragments into 2026 / Logs.
  • Commute block receives assignments and notices from campus platforms and sends them to Quick Notes.

Output streams:

  • Deep block takes assignments and notices from Quick Notes and moves them into Reminders.
  • Deep block takes ideas from Quick Notes, turns them into essays and fragments, and stores them in 2026 / Logs.
  • Before-bed block exports finished writing from 2026 / Logs to fze’s blog.
